Mine came today fitted in a couple of mins. just unscrew the old one and hold the roof around the base of the aerial and give it a pull. mine just popped out.
Reception is still good although a couple of the minor stations were lost but that's no probs really ;)

Yep got mine and fitted today. Black matches but the thread is only just long enough to catch in the upright postion. Came off easier than the LCR. Reception is slightly worse but hey what a bargain, paid 25 notes for the Forge stubby on the R!. And agreed MPG is much improved  Thanks for the heads up Daffy.

mine come today , but haven't had ago gettin the other one off , any tips ? scared i might pull the roof off or something :headhurt:

Hi mate,

I did this earlier today....

Unscrew the original aerial and make damn sure you have unscrewed it completely. With the aerial still in the upright position, place your hand around the base and get ready to give the aerial a massive tug!! Try to place an equal amount of downforce with your other hand. Mine came off eventually, it is quite hard but definitely comes out. The end of the thread has a little flared bit to make it hard to pull out.....

another report, on the motorway it seems to be a bit distorted over 60 mph (not 160!) :)

Can we have more photos please close up with it installed (want to see the colour difference between the aerial and the base), maybe even a pic of the original aerial so we can all see this flared bolt thingy. Then we will know what we are up against ;)

Cheers :)

Colour is perfect! Matches really nice to be honest and reception quality is good. Photos with S2000 and new one before and after

I'm finding reception quite poor actually, driving around several times i've noticed radio1 go slightly fuzzy for a few seconds.

I have also not received a single traffic report today (first day of using it) while driving 6-30am till 8am on M6 - So would have expected some traffic news from other stations (TP)

Will monitor for the next few days, it looks great, but .... if you rely and getting traffic news and want 100% reception then at present i'd have to say it fails to do that.

Had a £5 off coupon from ebay bay so just picked one of these bad boys up for 50p!

I don't have great reception for some stations though so am a bit worried about that but for 50p I really can't complain!

Must admit I'm finding the reception is really poor.

I'm thinking the standard radio has an amplifier built into it but would it be possible to add something like a Autoleads PC5-52 Aerial Adapter to boost if further?

Mine wouldn't screw down properly after having the S2000 one fitted. I used some SikaFlex to help hold it though.

Still undecided if I prefer it to the S2000.

Ordered mine :) Can someone take a pic of this flared thread/bolt thingy on the original aerial? Also can the original be refitted if I don't for some reason like the new one?

Just bought the last one of his latest batch! But read the bit about TP I rely on that quite a lot travelling to and from work and I'm now concerned about the reception. Will fit it and see how I get on. I always end up picking up Radio Stoke, Leeds, Sheffield & Cumbria but don't get my local ones!!!!!!!
