yep mine are still mint

The trick here is to avoid using/getting wonder wheels or any harsh cleaners on them when cleaning the alloys

just done mine now as has been said its the prep work that takes the time and is frustrating especially when you cant get all the flaking laquer off. However my brembos are no longer pink which is what i was aiming for and from a distance or even if you were knealt down looking at the wheel they look brand new so i am happy, thanks for the guide this should be a sticky in my opinion so it doesnt get deleted, now onto the expensive repairs lol

I did this the other day....got a bit over zealous with the wet sanding and the Brembo logo came away.

So i removed it completely and fitted Porsche badges instead lol.

Do you really need to sand them, I would expect laquer to key to the paint anyway?

Mine were perfect until I did a sequence of high speed stops to bed my new pads in and a bunch of the laquer fell off so it must be heat.

Older Porsche GT3 callipers are the same anyway.

I did this also on on mine and they look great, I should of stripped teh paint really but I'm too lazy.

No you don't need to worry much about the sanding just concentrate on removing the flakes of lacquer and dirt / brake dust.

Once the lacquer is back on it blends the areas nicely and it's impossible to tell where the flaked off patches were before.
