But as you'll know in your trade, if you give an estimate, then the price is flexible - a written quote is fixed.
If you didn't sign anything, and they gave you no quote - then it's buyer beware, and limits should have been put in place.
However, I'd still argue that they need to break down the costs to demonstrate where the money has gone.
