ok sorry to jump onto a thread this for in but a few questiosn about bigger brakes

I have an 03 model TDi 130 , so can i retain my original callipers and fit the larger discs, pads and carriers from the 312 models?

What size of rim do you need to run to clear the bigger discs can the standard 16" rims clear or do you ned to go up to 17"? soke of the TT's ran 16's did they not?

No, thats only the Leon Cupra/FR with the 150PD engine. For the Ibiza TDI PD130 you will need the calipers as well !!

I don't know how you can say the TT 225 sets aren't good value.

They are brand new (Save delivery miles) which means you can use the disks and pads as well.

The carriers alone are around £80 each. You know you'll have no problems with seals and they are completely clean, you even get the slightly longer TT hoses - What more could you ask for.

Just to note, S3 312mm brakes DO fit behind 16" Sport wheels.

It must be Leon Cupra ones that are different

£35+VAT from Skoda for a anti roll bar kit, which includes the ARB and new bushes.

Work? I dunno...ask techie, he fitted it.

I only got a Fabia vRS one because it was the thickest available, and the same price as the standard ARB. My one had snapped, so I needed to replace it.

Toxxin did you fit the tt 225 brakes yourself? How easy or hard were they on a scale of 1-10 as i've just purchased a set today?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't touch my brakes...I leave that to the professionals.

Ask techie, he fitted mine.

The upgrade isn't hard to do, as long as you're confident with a spanner and have the right tools. If you've not done much car maintenance before it might be best to get help

You'll need to bleed the brakes thoroughly afterwards, which is best done with a pressure bleeder (eg Gunson's Eezibleed).

Please, just for clarification. I've removed the 312mm calipers/carriers discs from my Leon Cupra.

What will they fit directly?

They'll go on Mk4 Ibizas....I suspect they'll be snapped out of your hands !!

If your not going to sell the hubs...MK1 TT, S3, and Octavia vRS. The Ibiza would require the hubs aswell I think

No the hubs are fine on any PD130. Anything below and you need the hub aswell.
