flip key info thread

Hi Atilla, couldn't say for sure if it would definitely work or not, I know I had a problem getting a key to work with mine as it's an older car (early 2001).

If you're interested, I have a brand new key for sale, blank blade and everything. I bought it for mine, but realised it would only work on newer cars, so I never used it. Here's a link to the original sale page:

I paid £30 for it. You can have it for the same price including postage.

It's one of the two button jobs, but I don't think the third boot release button would work on a toledo anyway.

No, it doesn't have the SEAT badge. Has a VW one.

I ordered one for £24, I did some research on German forums
the 1J0 959 753 DA will work for my year/model toledo,
someone with the same year/model toledo did it with the DA

i have a filp key for my 08 ibiza i have had it cut and was wanting to know about the transponder, the flip key came with a transponder in it is it possible to code this to my car or would i be better just taking the transponder out of my spare key and using it

hi malky its better to take the transponder out your spare key and put it into your new flip key, it has been posted many times before tho....

well i let the transponder soak over night in superglue remover and it came out with a little help and i now have a fully functioning flip key coded first time with the directions from this site. Thanks everyone

Look on the side of your normal remote key and it should have a load of numbers on it.

thanks for your reply so soon. I've just realised that the newer keys for the Ibiza seemingly don't have that on the key (It just has the CE embossed letters on it).

I have another query though as i am unsure what part is right as the part numbers end in different letters i.e. A, AH, N, G etc... Do you know if any of this makes a difference?

Finally, should i risk getting a 3 button key rather than a 2 button key just incase i manage to get the boot button working as some people have been successful. Any replies will be much appreciated

When cutting the transponder out, do you cut the old key or just arround the transponder.
