So how do you set the unit up on my standard BT it appears as a SEAT_UHV and if I bought a premium unit from VRStu it wouldbe a Skoda one.
How do I change the Skoda one to appear as a SEAT one when connecting.
(I know I can rename it on my phone, but would prefer a full OEM setup)

Wasnt it disscused in the orther thread about changing the coding?

No the fitted Bluetooth will work in exactly the same way with the RNS510 as it does with the standard stereo- if you want to use all the telephony features that the RNS510 is capable of then you need the Premium Bluetooth :)

Well actually I've just read the following in this thread:

As of the OEM Bluetooth, the latest P/N 1Z0 035 729 is fully integrated to the touchscreen of the RNS-510, including the USA version; this module is Euro as VWNA has never offered an OEM BT solution for the MKV in the USA. However, this P/N does not support the Bluetooth Audio profile A2DP, it only supports Handsfree/Headphone Profile. As such it will not support the USA RNS-510 Bluetooth Audio option in the touchscreen; it seems so far that the Euro RNS-510 version does not even have that Bluetooth Audio feature in the touchscreen.

My guess is that VWNA will finally introduce a dedicated OEM BT module with this unit in the USA and it will include both Handsfree/Headphone and Audio streaming Profiles.

I think VRSTu was sourcing a SEAT part (5P0 862 335) but now is sourcing this part. So no premium part required :)

Tommy I would LOVE to convert my VW MFD2 into a SEAT Navigator by flashing. Can you help me with instructions, contacts or pointers?

nickp, hi
how does your bluetooth integrate with the mfd3? have you got the touchscreen dialing or just standard hands free bluetooth?
(i'm assuming you dont have the premium bluetooth)

Hi Chris, I just get the standard bluetooth features - I use the phone alot for business, and still find myself struggling to justify why I should get the Premium Bluetooth retrofitted as I can't see it's really going to give me many more features apart from touch screen dialling which I won't use anyway!

I wonder if there's a chance it just needs the coding updated with VAGCOM to enable the features - or should it just be plug and play if I had the correct bluetooth firmware release?
