Without a restrictor in the boost gauge line, the gauge responds instantly to changes in boost pressure, flicking up/down very quickly. With the restrictor fitted, the needle moves more smoothly and drops more slowly. Does that make sense, Vidar?

A disc of metal or plastic a little larger in diameter than your silicon hose with a hole drilled through the middle. the hole will be about 0.5-1.0 mm in diameter.

The up-market ones might be fitted into a leg of a T-piece.

Best fitted as close as possible to the gauge, I think

The thing came with the -valve and that's a product far from being Nordic in any way! Try East jiggery-pokery.

Bust a front coil spring on the way to MOT this week.
I stripped the car of suspension and brakes today, awaiting arrival of coilovers etc....

Here's the broken spring.

I was thinking it looked like it had been damaged or had been cracked for a while, doesn't look like a clean break to me either?

The small broken piece is rusty because it's been hanging in the strut for a few days.

(I'm soaked, it's been pissing down this afternoon).

It is a clean break guys, I can hold them together and not see any join.
