have done most of the work now, took the actuator to the valve i have to install on the com side and then the metal tea pot you had made i took the over side to that seems to have all fit quite nicely just got the final plumbing in to do and hey presto, all nice and blue vac tubing

do you know of anyone who has one of these as i have accidently ripped of the connection for the valve on the witre that plugs into the unit? need to know what colour goes what side?

so i'll get this right hopefully, now the controller is connected to the fpr and the tip so this measures the airflow and fuel pressure which helps it how? sorry to be stupid but like to know these things??

also im using the com and no connections presume thats right also?

No, the line that's coming off the fpr is telling the Greddy what the boost pressure is. The line that's off the Charge pipe (turbo to intercooler) is taking boost pressure for the controller to use opening the wastegate. There shouldn't be any line off the TIP. At the controller valve, Com to the Actuator, No from the charge pipe. :)

yep looked after i spoke to you see the gap lol

also have the wire prob sorted now so will get on with it now and fire it up lol

Dave, I'm looking to fit a manual boost controller in parallel with my n75 valve to limit the overboost from my hybrid K04. All of the Forge units seem to use bleed valves which I don't agree with as i want to limit boost and not vent it. Did you go for a ball and spring type and is it decent quality.

Hi Carl, I got a two port ball and spring type one from http://www.rspec.co.uk/ Quality is fine. They sell on ebay too. :)

A little bit of a replumb today. The one you can't see, I moved the water:methanol boost source off the charge pipe and to the inlet manifold. It was coming on too early.

I need to make a bracket to attach the catch tank to the plate under the front engine cover.

Can you spot any other changes?

I moved the boost gauge take off from the top of the TB to underneath the manifold to try to quieten it down (and to free that outlet).

In the process of repiping I found (in amongst spare couplings and tube) the tee with the restrictor in. :doh: (I didn't realise I'd removed it last time I repiped. :hide: ) The only thing I don't like, boost gauge is much more 'damped' with the restrictor fitted. :shrug:

Maybe a daft question, but damped when talking about boost gauge? What does that mean?

Without a restrictor in the boost gauge line, the gauge responds instantly to changes in boost pressure, flicking up/down very quickly. With the restrictor fitted, the needle moves more smoothly and drops more slowly. Does that make sense, Vidar?
