flip key info thread

ok ,not ibiza mk4 related,but 2003 toledo,.
can i use the 3 button on mine? would be handy to have boot release on its own button.if not then 2 button is fine.
not read the whole 40 pages of this thread sorry, where i could get the blade cut( i'm sure al will point me me somewhere local matey )it doesn't seem like a local lock smith would do,maybe local motor factors?

It would seem most people have chosen Timpsons not sure which. I presume its these people.

Woop! Just got my flip key tonight! It's all working - coded it with the car but the hardest bit i found was turning the spring to build up pressure for it to flip whilst trying to get the other half of the key on without the transponder falling out!

Just waiting for my new blade to arrive anyway and I will be good to go!

to do the spring i put it together then wound the key blade the wrong way round then put the top of the key on, easy peasey 1st attempt

Ahhhhhh shut up!

Just cos I was there holding the whole key thing and the spring twisted - trying to get the other half together - did it eventually!

Take the badge off - take the screw out and just stick a screwdriver in the bit you arent gonna see and pop in apart. Make sure the spring doesnt fly out though! You have to wind the spring up before you put it back together otherwise it won't flip.

The numbers on my key are:

Hella 730-955-00
433MHZ 5FA 007 680

Do I need to get a specific flip key, or will any Hella one work?

I've read this whole thread , and I still can't work it out.

Nope, mines still works fine.

The functions of the key are the exact same.

Shouldnt do bud cos you put the transponder in that matches your alarm.
