My Golf PD130(55 litre tank) with all it's mods and 221bhp is doing 450 miles. I don't fill it to the brim. I just wait for the pump to click off and i leave it. It usually registers 450 miles when the beep and light comes on. Soon that's gonna change because the car that's replacing it will drop at least a 100 miles per tank ;):funk:

i have a 130 tdi leon on an 04 plate but mine is remapped and i get about 400 miles to a tank. in the summer i was getting 500. before my remap it was the same but on a run i could do 600 no problem. i haven't really been on a long run since the remap though.

I tracked down some millers yesterday and put a shot in with the half tank i had left (bit strong i know) and what a difference. Worth the money. So much smoother.

You can get 60 litres in if you try..... well i've managed 59.8 and i was quite low on fuel at the time ;)

I don't see the point in cramming fuel in (unless your going to a area with limited filling stations)

55lts lasts me 3 weeks plus, that extra 5lts of fuel is maknig you go slower ;)

I brim it so i only need to make one trip to a filling station a week, instead of 2 a week. Makes life easier for me and phscologicaly i feel better off
Plus i only fill at shell, and there is one near work, and one near home, but none in between without a 15 min detour, so that one fill of 59.8ltrs was a one off due to some risky red light lottery driving

Cool, sounds like my car is performing similarly to others then. doing the 295 mile drive to newcastle and back again tomo so i guess i will be able to see what it can really do on a proper storm up the motorway!

My MPG is cracking on the motorway once the engine has warmed up - let it plod along at 60-70 and watch the average MPG just increase and increase.

That is until you see a white van up ur ass so u end up booting it and creating a safe gap between u and him. MPG takes a bit of a slapping but so does the white van man.
