best mpg I've had over a tank so far is 47! I'm hoping that as I get more used to the car I will hoof it less and get some better consumption figures. Still I'm pretty happy with 47 mpg :D

the best i can ever remember getting was when i drove down to norfolk from preston and i got just over 600 miles. but i was dragging a caravan down there with me for 250 miles ish of the tank. i was amazed though then. that was before the remap though. had a tank of v-power in last week. only managed 341 miles. think thats the worst ever. tried esso this week. so far so good. 200 miles and its just used over 1/4 of a tank. looking good.

venting is where you fill your tank so it is totally full. basically your tank has a space in it to let the fuel expand if it gets warm. On the ibiza's there is a button you can press when filling it which lets all the air escape so you can fill it to the top of the filler neck. so a tank that seat says is 45 gallons will take something like 50 gallons. I have a leon myself and the only way i can do it is to wait till the pump clicks off then just fill it slowly untill the fuel is in the top of the neck, the level keeps dropping then as the air escapes so i just keep topping it up. it helps also if you can find a petrol station where its on a bit of a slope and park so your filler neck is the highest part of the tank. There maybe an easier way but nobody told me when i asked. If your going to have a go then i'd fill up when its quiet so you don't annoy everyone taking ages to fill you car.

Leon 150 - I do between 2500-3500 miles a month, pretty much all motorway miles on cruise control, although I do apply the right foot a fair bit when I can. I am getting between 500-570 miles out of a full tank, running it from full to warning light so could get more.

It does roughly 60+mpg sat at 50mph on the M42.

If I put in £50 worth of diesel, which doesn't fill the tank, I usually get around 400 miles before the computer says 0 miles again, and thats all on town driving.

I average about 350 miles per tank (unvented) in my Ibiza PD130.

Vented probably adds another 120 miles(ish).
