Mine wasn't self adhesive. Definitely nothing to peel off,tried a knife against it and it was straight onto the alloy.

I had some good strong 10 second glue lying around, used that and not been a problem.

using vag-com and you skc

Provided that the transponder/immobilizer-capsule/immobilizer-chip of the key you bought are compatible with the ECU and Comfort System of the Car you have I think...

2 Fobs I bought for instance (HLO 1J0 959 753 AH & HLO 1K0 959 753 G), are programmed to unlock the doors and trunk (oh yes, the trunk as well), but, they just refuse to be programmed key-wise... I've tried with both VAG-COM and a SEAT Authorized Reseller but nothing, nada, zip, niente, τίποτα (that's Greek)... So I'm stuck with 2 Fobs that both can unlock the doors and trunk, but, the key is just not working...

The 4 digit immobilizer code of your ECU... An authorized SEAT Reseller "might" give it to you, provided that you'll make his life miserable, asking for it again, and again, and again, and again, and again... DO NOT TRY those cables/programs that are supposed to be able to "extract" the code for you... They just WON'T work!!! Yes, I've tried 3 of those... Silly, stupid, ignorant me... :doh::doh::doh:
