196bhp tho? And you used a Superchip? Wouldn't a remap be better and some head work done?

What cage have you got?

The shoot was some years ago now and the figures from engine work were from a very optomistic rolling road i used to use. Some of the engine mods were carried out by the previous owner. During the re-build im currently undergoing i will be stripping engine and re-building how i want it, so when i say this is done and that is done i know its 100% correct!

Since then ive fitted eaton supercharger running just 3psi (still in development of conversion) and recorded a more realistic 193bhp on a more accurate rolling road!

Tidy! I was thinking how you could get 196bhp from that spec.... the limiter will only be at 6400rpm and to get anything over 180bhp the limiter needs to be higher.

A mate of mine (bezzagti) on here had 260 cams and a biltz chip, had it rolling roaded 177bhp but when you look at the graph the power was still raising before it hit the limiter. If it was lifted a bit more it would have made a lot more power.

Where and what roll cage have you got?

The limiter is lifted, somewhere between 7.3 & 7.5k. Mine has ottinger cams which are lumpy as hell, crawing in traffic is a nightmare!!!!

Roll cage is a bolt in 6-point, i dont know the make. I am selling soon, keep an eye on for sale area, im looking for about £150 for it. Im going for full weld in multi-point approved cage now.

Do you know if it had any head work done on it? Because you wouldn't get that sort of power without it. Wouldn't have said a superchip would also lift the limiter to that rev range.

Let me know on the cage and if you got some pics lets see them lol [B)]

Apparently no head work, going by what the last owner said. The spec was bit vauge, thats why im looking forward to re-build so i know what i say then is 100% factual. I was a bit 'impressionable' with figures few years back and now have a better understanding of rolling roads and how the place i had it tested 1st time was a TAD optomistic with people!

In 5 years ive only hit limmiter 3 or 4 times, it is around 7.5K. I might be restricting it back down tho when charger propperly set up to save some strain on engine.

I have pics of cage here fitted (hope the link isn't minded by admin on here)
I will post for sale thread soon anyway:

I have better pics somewhere. Best part is low door bars, makes access easy!

Ex SEAT UK Rockingham cage, made by custom cages - about 12 made in a batch & sold off at £50ea when I picked some up

Is it an rockingham one? Because if you have a look at the pic of jason's the front half of the cage is different. I would post a pic but I'm in work at the mo!
