So its cheaper to drive to manchester and have the first service than got to local colliers of brum!

Diesel and service in manchester £130 all in, £250 just for service at colliers!!!!

£120 saving for a 170 mile round trip cant be bad, BUT it shouldn't be like this :( they should ALL
price the same for any service, Robbin barskets!!

When I ordered my FR I had the option of taking out free servicing, parts and labour for £15 a month for 3 years, that works out £540.

Had my car at W. Livingstone the other day for its first service.

£105 - was very pleased!!

Top notch customer service as usual.

Is this W. Livingstone in Uddingston or is there another dealer with exactly the same name somewhere.

I was in there on Saturday and they seemed very nice - small family firm. However I would have liked a better deal - did you buy from there?

The very same!

They don't mass buy like their competitors and offer a terrible after sales attitude.

I prefer to support firms like these who offer the personal service and superb after care rather than the big firms who just want the sale and give terrible after sales service. Have experienced it twice now including being sold a cut-&-shut vehicle. In both cases it was the same firm and one of Livingstones biggest competitors (it wasn't SEATs in both cases, but I won't name the firm as I probably shouldn't do that).

In ten years of SEAT ownership - three Ibizas and one Leon - I don't think I have ever paid a service bill over £150. Most have averaged out at between £100 - £120 if I remember rightly. All of these bills have been at either Haldanes (another family firm which closed down in 2000'ish) or Livingstones.

Thanks for that.

I can guess who the competitor would be ( dealerships everywhere for every franchise, always on the TV?) and they started off by offering £2,000 less than Livingstone's. After telling me they couldn't do anything they phoned later and said they had made a mistake in their figures and would beat the price I have been offered if I came back. I have told them to give me their best price or I won't be back anyway. Still not convinced I would go there unelss it's an offer I can't refuse! Wouldn't go near them for servicing.

POLKR on here has recommended Bickett's in Kilmarnock and should get a price from him today.

Do Livingstone's always give you a good price or are you able to haggle with them for a better deal?
