Whats the standard boost on a LCR 225?

Just wondering. I have since remapped mine and fitted boost gauge and was wondering how much more boost I have over standard.

Boost peaks at approx 1.8 bar now.

I thought a mapped LCR was more like 1.6bar / 22psi or there abouts  1.8bar / 26psi does sound a bit much! :hide:

My 210 LCR, when it was and is standard, peaks at approx 10-12psi and when it had an AMD map it peaked at 22psi

Yeh, 1.8 for bout half a second? then sitting about 1.6 bar tops?

Yes, that's about right, falling to 1.1 at the redline. Peak power is usually at 5,500 where you should see a smidge under 1.2 bar.

And yes, standard boost is 0.8 bar.

I can believe it'll spike to 26PSI, but I don't think the standard turbo, even with 4bar FPR can sustain 26PSI... that'd be a very nice pull, if possible.

Over-optimistic boost gauge? :p

any stage 1 remaps use the 4 bar fpr?

Not as far as I know.

I'm a bit confused by your question though...

Edit: oh, I get you now. It says 4 bar fpr in his sig. @OP - you should take that off, probably an idea to read up on A/F logging just to be sure, but nobody does a Generic Stage 1 map that needs a 4 bar fpr AFAIK.

And, At lickwid, fuel pressure reg won't make a difference to boost pressure. 1.6-1.8 spike is "fine". people will say otherwise and suck their teeth, but it's what all LCR's do (if you take into account that his boost gauge might be a bit out).

All the 210/225's "saturate" the MAP sensor, which according to many, is a REALLY bad thing  As I understand it though, when it's runnign above the MAP's maximum, it falls back to using the IAT and the MAF to calculate the boost. Probably explains why a duff MAF on a chipped motor is extremely noticeable...

Yes exactly where I was going with this Phil.....

Blelock - I fitted a 4bar FPR to a stage 1 LCR Running Revo on the advice of a tuner (luckily they are no longer solvent) the upshot was fuel economy was really bad, massive overfuelling and reduced power (about 10-15bhp down at a guess) if you are running a 4bar FPR on stage 1 remap follow Phil's advice above and do some logging yourself......or speak to an independent tuner etc

mine is around 1.5-1.6 bar,i was told any more and it wouldnt be reliable, didnt know if that meant turbo would fail or it would over boost and then ecu cut boost back to protect engine.
