Squeeky Outside!!!

Yes thats right ladies and gents, my car is squeeking on the outside.
Presume its the suspension, its kind of an annoying metal on metal queek.

Anyone else had this, any one know how to get rid of it?
Ive got Konig Coil overs (or what ever they were called)

wheel bearing? my car squeeks but it stops when I apply the brakes, even very slightly, so thats obviously something to do with my brakes!

Mine squeeks when I get out the car (with the handbrake applied) -- but like trucido, I think that's more a problem with my brakes than anything else. Getting new ones next month anyway, hopefully that'll sort it.

mine only squeeks when i got over a small bump.
Driving through a car park with speed bumps for example, it will squeek on the compression after going over...
Ill have to live with it for the time being i guess, never mind.

My brother had coilovers on his 214 back in the day, his weren't "seated" properly, every time he jacked the car up it would either cause the car to squeek or solve the problem... don't know if this is similar to your problem.

same here so im putting new brakes all round next month to try and solve the problem

Quite often a lip develops where the disc is greater area than the pad covers. Get it filed down or replace disc if it's nearly done.. I got this after 6k miles on new discs and pads, and just had it removed, all sorted.

Also got it when i replaced pads but not discs, after the pads took on the shape of the slightly worn disc. Again, had the lip filed and squeaky gone-y.

Well seeing as that used to be my car and i know exactly what the noise is , it think you will see that im right!!!!

I know its not the wheel bearings as these were done 12 months ago and the discs asnd pads around 13 months
