I've now had mine for 2 weeks and done over 400 miles with it and tbh i'm not impressed one bit :( dont get me wrong, it's improved the feel of the gearbox and also tightened up the front end but the vibrating is doing my head in.
I'd say 60% of my driving is in crawling traffic and living in Sheffield it includes loads of hill starts. I've found myself over reving the engine to stop the dashboard and my bones vibrating, and thats gunna wear the clutch out quicker than usual. Also when you have passengers in the car it makes you look like your not slipping the clutch enough or you've got a shagged clutch :(
Imo it's killed the refined nature of the LC. I'm prepared to give it a month to see if it settles down but personally i'm dubious that a solid piece of plastic can ever be as good as a piece of rubber at absorbing vibrations.

I hope people are going to tell me it will settle down, cause i am impressed at the "solid" feeling of the front end. But if it doesnt improve its getting binned.

I'm toying with the idea of trying half a oem bush and half poly. Hopefully it'll give me the best of both worlds.

when you had it fitted were all the bolts torqued up properly? if you over tighten them you will get excessive vibration. i done mine and it was probably one of the best mods i've done.

JBS fitted it for me when i had my service done. I'm gunna ask them to check it when i get the chance. 20nm i think is the correct setting but i'm sure the JBS boys know how to fit them.

I was considering it until I read this thread!

seriously don't let a few comments put you off getting it done. instead of getting just the bushes why not buy the whole mount? it'll cost you more but it'll already be torqued up properly.

ive had mine on now well over a year
vibration wasnt that bad at first and died off. it still vibrates more than OE as we have compared it with beezasports car

but you just get used to it
im glad i had mine done

Im really not sure whether to do this mod now. Sounds a really good mod but i still want the comfort and dont think i could handle the vibration. How long does it take to die down folks?

didnt take mine long
its something that doesnt really change, you just think it does becuase you get used to it

the difference it makes vs the increased vibrations is not even worth debating for me.

Mine has died down since i first got it but it's still noisy when crawling up hills and in traffic. It all depends what you want from your car i suppose, but i'm not sure i can live with the loss of comfort. If i lived in a flat area i'd probably not notice it as much.

Isnt there an alternative on the market that's less harsh? or has anyone got the half poly, half oem fitted?
