wirring after engine stops

have this wirring noise after the engine has been stopped. goes on for ages!!! coming from a little box in the bottom left hand corner of the engine bay by the radiator.

wirrs on and on for ages up to 15mins! even if i have only moved the car just 20 yards.

what is it and is it healthy??

Its pumping water around your turbo to cool it down. Perfectly normal.

should it go on for sooo long to mate.when i 1st got the car it went off after 5 mins or so. now goes on for ages!!!

I think its normal to stay on for around 10 - 15mins. If it dosnt come on, then you've got a problem. (usually the fuse) Unless it sounds knackered i'm sure its fine.

yea mines does the same i was puzzled the same when i first got my car to.

yeah it even goes on if you put the key to position 2! Stays on for about 10 mins
