DRUMS... ahhh - different thing.. Had Cupra in my mind with rear disks.. in which case yes you have to check your rear bolt length to not contact drum brake internals... click click click when turning the wheel or not able to turn it at all possible otherwise.

......and I do know how spacers and bolts work ;)

well these are the spacers ive got .. theyr from one of the boys near me with a Lime Ibiza Cupra soo he had new spacers and i had it old ones off him but they were onli on his car for a few weeks. These are them and i dont understand when u bolt the spacers to the hub then the wheel ontop ?
these ones you just put the bolt through the alloys/spacer into the hub i think ?

i had this problem when i got mine. Got the kit second hand with the longer bolts, fitted and thought great, going down the road it kept clicking - it got worse and worse - to the point where a mate was following me and said my wheel looked buckled! Checked the bolts and they were loose, took the bolts out and realised the ones i got with the kit had a tapered seat (like the ones in your pics fcuknafe) and my old wheel bolts where the flat seated type, so i was running the complete wrong bolts! Got the proper style bolts - and no more clicking!

your very lucky your wheels did not fall off! i have seen people run with wrong wheel bolts and the heads off the bolts just shear off.
i think there is a good example of this on youtube where a car loses all 4 wheels!!!

The idea of using separate bolts to connect the spacers to the hubs is to reduce the strain on the wheel bolts when you need to use a longer thread. Handling is improved but the pressure on these bolts in increased and so it's vital you use the correct type as stated above.

Sorry but ya wrong dude.
Bolts CLAMP the wheels to the hub... so long as the spacers are hubcentric the wheel load goes through the hub spigot not the wheel bolts, as they are clamping, be they 25mm long or 50mm long.

Bolts should not be taking shear load, just tensile load from clamping
