Definately get it HPi'd mate. That is a good find for the mileage. Check that the bonnet lines up perfectly with the wings, check where radiator is and whether the wings look like they've recently been sprayed on etc. I'm sure it will be fine.

your never going to believe this, but i cant get insurance for the thing coz im so young! my current insurers admiral have quoted me a rediculous price of 280 per month as i have 4 months remaining on my poilcy before i get 2 years no claims as im 18, im gutted to say the least and dnt know what to do now! HELLLLP!!

I can believe it mate. They are 1.8 20v Turbo cars. I had to wait until I was 20 (with 3 years no claims) to get a decent car, and even that was a Clio Williams.

tried no gd m8, i have to keep with admiral up to april so i earn the no claims (or so i think) i cant start a new policy with another company and lose all that! just really F*cked me off! i find a perfect example and then this, considering i could get insurance on a golf gti 1.8 t, i hate insurance companys i really do! grrrrrrr, any further suggestions would help and i guess that car is up for grabs so be quick!!

I think you've just answered your own question. If you're staying with Admiral unti April to get you NCB up, then you're going to have pay the £280 a month fee, or sweet talk your parents into helping you out.

We've all been there mate, I was 21 when i got my first Cupra and cotst me a fortune then too.

Hmmm, i was 19 when i got my cupra, before i had a pug 106 xsi costing £790 to insure with admiral and asked how much extra it would be to insure the cupra....they said £310 being a total of £1100 at 19. how much you paying insurane at hte moment?

greenlight is the only reason i can afford to insure my cupra with mods declared, i'm 23 with 1 yrs ncb, you need to be at least 21 to even get a quote through them..i think you are nuts trying to get one at 18

i got my first one at 18, paid £1360 Fully comp with elephant with 1 years NCB. Paid the same for my second cupra which was 260bhp when i got it in May this year i was still 18 turned 19 in june and got a renewal through a few weeks back (even though i dont own it) for £890 fully comp. It can be done, just keep hunting around, its well worth the money with the smile it will put on your face when you drive it!

With my mk2 2.0 16v i have claimed twice, all mods declared, i have four points, disqualified for three months(then had to pass theory and test again), im nineteen and ive had the car since i passed my test 2 and abit years ago... £880 fully comp as the named driver.

Try a call to GSI, I got a quote from them that was very competetive, but at your age, you have your balls in a vice.
I really do feel for you though fella, i bought a 600cc bike and to insure for the first time it cost 50% of the cost of insuring my suzuki swift gti with two years NCB, i was 19.

Sorry if I sound harsh but that just sounds daft to me.

When you want a new car you would surely first look to find what you like, then see if you could insure it, then see if you could afford to run it, then buy it.

In that order for me.

well i had a quote for a mk4 golf gti which are basically the same car, i had a few estimates for the cupra.was gonna be 199.89 a month with the golf which was a 2000 and worth 7k! the 1.8 t, soo i thought well it must be around that or less, but i was wrong, and i must admit its a complete joke the amount we have to pay, but there are idiots out there without insurance, so...nothing i can do for another 4 months then ill be 19 with 2 years no claims!
