You defo wunna tell them about any mods. Number1 you could make it void, plus you'll start a riot with these guys if u talk about not declaring on insurance. Thats exactly what makes it more expensive for every1 else (us!!) if u have an accident.

god thats a first, forum members having a barney coz someone aint declaring some new suspension! yer i know it voids it, one reason why i would keep the standard parts and replace before the valuation, exactly what my mate did, and at the end of the day im not looking to be going mad engine wise, just a panel filter! and revo, poss exhaust.

how do you replace something when its smashed up in the back end of someone elses's truck?

Also you plan on swapping your ecu out aswell? last i heard insurance companys were getting wise to not declared re-maps.

Just a quick note on the insurance -- My girlfriend bought her new CooperS and cancelled her insurance on her beetle... put down she had 4years NCB's on her quote from Tesco's but she only had 3years 10months, similar situation to yourself but only realised it when they sent through her NCB proof!

She phoned up tesco's and explained the situation and they honoured her 4 full years of NCB's She was well chuffed! I was just shocked!! If that had been me they would've charged me a few hundred quid more! -- I can't complain about her though, she brings my insurance down about ~£150!!
