Dropped the car off at Allard's on the 21st of September to get the mods done. Allard's where hoping to get the new turbo system up and running for Saturday 13th October – Audi International Club Day at Castle Combe race track so it could be displayed on their stand. I know they are having trouble with getting the turbo fitted between the engine and bulkhead without messing up the design of the manifold and having space for the twin down pipe past the 4WD system. I told them to just cut the bulkhead out on the engine side but they where not to keen on that idea . I will phone them tomorrow and get an update and post back for you.

So dare I ask, what kind of BHP & torque figures you are hoping for after the latest additions!?

350ish bhp with diesel/propane
400ish bhp diesel/propane/NOS
Nearly 500lb torque.
The above would be nice but it will take a lot of setting up and testing to get it running properly up to those levels.

We got some spaces left at Westec if you want to run again? lol.

I noticed your doing another RR day mate in November. If the car is running right i will try and pop up but i don`t want to put my name down as the car is in bits still and there is still a lot of work to get done on it. Thanks for the offer.:)

What Clutch you running with it? I assume you changed the previous one which slipped with 411lb/ft.

500 is nuts!

I bought a Helix SMF and cerametallic paddle clutch which is due to get fitted. I didn`t want to go SMF or get a cerametallic paddle clutch but it`s the only thing on the market that holds 500lb torque.

What injectors are you fitting into the PD140 to aim for 350 on diesel and NOS?
I'm just building a PD130 that should have about 300 bhp on diesel alone, no NOS or propane.

Hoping for 350 bhp with diesel/propane and 400 bhp with diesel/propane/NOS.
Injectors are stock as i cannot find anybody who will make just one set of uprated injectors for me without wanting thousands of pounds to make a test rig and do the testing. I haven`t givern up trying to find somebody yet though. At the end of the day propane is a fuel the same as diesel so i don`t see why some people think i an cheating by using it. Injectors are more controllable but my propane kit is universal fitment between cars and has unlimited fuelling eithin reason unlike injectors.
Are you fitting R783 injectors or something bigger ? Can you say what model turbo you intend to use ?

The nozzles are Power Plus 1043's, We have a tubular manifold and a turbo dynamics hybrid VNT-20. Which is the same unit as the one on the VW motorsport racing Caddy van. The engine also has a Dbilas re-profiled cam and a few other parts.

galv Knows his stuff when it comes to diesels. Hope it all goes well achieving 300 bhp from an 8 valve.

Mikey, There was a company in America that modified some sets of hdi injectors on a return basis, used to increase the stock hdi's performance considerably. Ill have a look and if i find it all pm you.

yeah diesel dynamics can do the common rail ones, We fit modified nozzles on to the HDi injectors.

I'll have a word with a couple of guys I get nozzles off, I've not strip'd a PD140 injector, so do you have a standard nozzle number??

I've heard of vern at AP Diesels, We don't use them I normally get the nozzles in from Italy then get our local bosch/lucas guy to build them.
