im gonna go 1.9 as it seems silly to have a totally stripped down block and build it back as standard bore. its gonna be no more real work to bore it out!

not sure on the state of any thing inc turbo yet. gonna have engine out this weekend!

caney...as dpj said we will never no!! BUT at the RR day where i got 302bhp 320 ft/lbs with misfire and really lean, there was also an ihi running 324bhp with same torque. the jkm blokes said its the highest power ihi they have seen which means i was 20bhp behind a well setup ihi even with big issues.

once i sorted the fueling issues there was alot more power.......

also to rub it in even more...the seats ive been waiting for over the last 18weeks are ready for collection lol sods law

phil..indeed. the strange thing about this is that i was more pissed off when i curbed i wheel.

i guess there is no good to be had out of curbed wheel. but i blown engine means (as phil said) bigger and better

tonight i started to take out the engine! found it alot easier than 1st time round lol

current state is every thing disconnect apart from 1 DP nut and the odd hose or wire! hoping to have it on the bench tomorrow after work, or sunday after work!

below is the pic of the small hole. it was just behind the oilfilter. you wait till you see the big one...its big

i stuffed a torch in the hole and i could see the sterring rack lol in one side out the other

it appears to be cylinder number 4 and not 3 as i thought!!

con rod bolt snapped?

seized a pistona dn pulled rod away from small end (cant see that happening)

too much torque on your map for the std rods

well i can get hold of a brand spanking new bam engine if ur interested or do u just want a second hand unit and which engine code would u like? agu have better con roads but bam has conroads and pistons? i'll look first thing monday see what i've got buddy.

Do u need a short block or full lump with head? depends what damage u've done top end i guess. gona studdy ur pics see if i can see what caused it?

may need sump but i think ill get a baffled one!

i know why it snapped mate its obvious but dunno wot went 1st.
i found a square banjo connection all mashed up in the sump...i stuck a magnet in. it was like a lucky dip!!

think im sorted for a block thanks to mr badger!

engine is ready to come out fully disconnected engine mount bolts out, just gota lift engine from car!

was going to do it tonight but there is no rush so gonna do it saturday evening!

had a look at the hole at the back of the block and its huge. crank damaged rpm sensor ring mashed up and 2 holes in sump! 4 holes in total....every mans dream
