Got a DVD sent to me the other day. Sadly though I can't get the time off to make it for Elvington which appears is the closest to me.

Ah, so the offer if bought during certain month's doesn't seem to be the case, So my dealership possibly didn't get me onto this afterall, maybe Seat was going to enter me onto it anyhow.

Ah well, not to worry. One way or another, I'll be having fun.

Chuck a sicky Z!!!

i think it depends when you buy the car, ie pay, not order.

i havent heard anything official yet either.

I ordered my cupra a few weeks back for a delivery date of early Dec and they did tell me that this is only for people paying for their cupra / FR b4 Sept 31st ie its delivered by then and you make final payment...

I spoke to my dealer and they have got me on the trackday regardless!!!! so im well chuffed!!! :funk:

hi, just back from elvington on what can only be described as one of, if not the best freebie ive ever had.

much sqealing of tyres and fun was had by all, and may i be the first to congratulate cupra r on his performance in the telemetrics excersize/thash .

for anyone still undecided as to wether or not they should go, GO, you cannot fail to have a great time. and the foods good too.

it gives you a massive appreciation of how the car helps you drive, and what to do when you push it that little bit too far. its great for inspiring confidence in our cars. when were every day driving were only scraping the surface of the iceberg as far as what the car is capable of.

thanks seat!

Just got back from the PM session at Elvington. Stew and potatoes with chocolate cake for lunch. Fruit, choc bars and crisps also available. WARNING : don't eat too much if you're on the PM session. Some of the activities are likely to make you throw up with a full stomach.

Didn't win the telemetrics contest but met Jason Plato.

You don't get a car and instructor each, you are in groups of 2 or 3 with the instructor and you keep swapping over to try each task. The circuit was my favourite part. There's a contest for the best line around the course regardless of speed but the temptation to go around as fast as possible was just too great.

There are also some other tasks such as a slalom and jamming on the brakes at 80mph whilst steering around an obstacle. Very impressed with the car's handling.

You seem to get matched with the car you have bought but there was a chance to go out again in a Cupra at the end. All in all, I felt that there was plenty of time to try everything and it was worth the 200 mile round trip.

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR DRIVING LICENCE EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SENT A PHOTOCOPY.

i havent tried the diesel engine as my previous car was an oil burner and fancied the change back to petrol, so i didnt even test drive it.
how did the two compare, performance and handling wise (cos the cupra and fr are different?)

Didn't go out in the Cupra myself. My stomach couldn't have taken any more laps being thrown around in the back seat. Just did all the exercises in the TDi then went back to the circuit for a few more laps then called it a day.
