well, well, well. would you believe it.
i spoke to the salesman that is sorting my car for me today, and as a sort of ps to our conversation asked him tongue in cheek if i would qualify for this offer as although i ordered my car months ago i havent technically bought it yet, as i wont be paying until next week sometime.
he tried to stifle his laugh and once hed regained his composure said he would speak to the sales manager and get back to me.
i fully expected that to be the end of that but, half an hour later my mobile rang. he only bloomin confirmed that i DO qualify!! cant wait even more now.
so if your unsure, ask. you wont get it unless you do.

well my candy cupra should be with me on the 1st september, i would expect to qualify on the grounds that we were informed by the salesman that the offer is bundled with your car at the time of payment and not the time of order, was miffed a bit because the last offer was a good one, even though i cant remember what it was now. Don't forget your 3 yrs/60000mls free servicing aswell!(if you decide to use seat finance)

Only question is, Are we going to have to drive our own brand new £16,000-£20,000 cars? i can't see the missus agreeing to that!:doh::confused:

I've been told that I am entitled to the offer when I picked up my Cupra yesteday (ordered end of May) as it is the day you make the payment that counts.

Some ones gonna buy the ones they do rag round the track though avoid 'demonstrators' for a while.....

WE rag, they are going to watch, WE are going to put it through its paces, and push it to its limits. like it says in the promotion:clown::scary::drive2:

I cant wait!!!!!:drool::funk::D

Q - Are we gonna have to pay for damages?

I went on a volkswagen track day a local dealer arranged at oulton park recently after i drove an R32 round the track the instructor took me on a couple of fast laps him being 'the expert' anyway although we were told that it wasnt a race the instructor got a bit competitive with a mk 5 Golf GTI on a corner and he scraped the side side of the R32 against the GTI doing lots of damage to both cars which by now are probably on a fourcourt somewhere for sale........

But how are we supposed to "unleash the unashamed power of these models in their natural environment" if we've got an instructor sitting next to us, telling us to take it steady?;):whistle:

Surley their expecting a few scuffs and scrapes?:rolleyes:
I certainly have no intention of sticking it to the nearest wall, but what if it happens:shrug: by accident?

Knockhill have a load of Leon Cupra's as their school / experience cars, I drove one hard round knockhill to get my race licence, absolute hoot. And don't worry no one will let you crash it, I can guarantee that !

phil, have you been given anything on paper that isnt on the seat.co.uk website? ie more details, dates for the events etc?

cheers

theres a little booklet that i picked up from the garage the other week with the details of the tracks. but they only give a date range for the events. no specific dates as such, unless anyone else has any more info?

has any of the guys who have paid for their cars been registered for the offer with the dealer/Seat other than the verbal confirmation?

i suppose u'd get a pack directly from Seat with the details?

Not been given a thing. They didn't even mention it until I asked the salesman who confirmed that I was entitled with the manager.

Going to keep chasing it up though and will let you guys know as soon as I get anything.

i now have the official offer brochure, but alas it tells us nothing that isnt already on the website really. no dates etc.

it does list the activities however;

1. high speed brakes on lane changing and esp test. basically a high speed avoidance excercise with the esp system on and off to show the differences.
2. slalom and understeer. driving at excessive speeds round corners with esp on and off, experiencing understeer.
3. circuit drive telemetrics competition. the challenge is to drive round a simulated track. throttle control, steering technique, braking and gear changing.

there are some rough dates in the info booklet which states:
"The track days will take place at five uk venues between 26th sept and 21st nov 2007"

it dont really tell you much but more details to follow i guess..
