...but all good things must come to an end :(

Car is now sold :( Buyer is collecting it this Friday, once it's been through it's MOT. And on Saturday morning I'm collecting my new car.

Will be sad to see the LCR go. I bought it as it did everything I wanted and did it all very well, but if I'm honest, I was never truly excited by it... it just left me a little cold at first, even though I knew it was the best car for me. But after the first month or so of owning it, it really started to feel more special and now, I'm gutted to be selling. It's a bloody fantastic car and one that if I ever have the chance to own again, I would without a moments hesitation.

The whole point of this sale was to raise and save money though, ready for the first step onto the property ladder. Me and the Mrs have sold our cars and have bought one between us which is.... an Escort GTi :D Essex, I'm coming at ya! ;)

It's a mint car, drives nice, looks nice, does everything I need and will be cheap to run and maintain. Not a patch on the LCR, but a good car nonetheless :)

So that's me done folks... no doubt I'll stick around but as you would have noticed over the last couple of weeks, my time spent here will be much less.

I wish you all well :)

Rob

P.S.

I've still got some black Leon mirrors for sale if anybody wants them. Electric, heated and folding Golf style ones ;)

Hi Rob,

Shame to see you go mate but all the best of luck with the property purchase.

I had to do the same 2 years ago and have never looked back since. Took a while to save again for a decent car and I finally managed to get my LCR.

All the best for the future

All the best Rob, as others have said, your input will be missed around here - does the 'Scort come with Angel eyes :p

Trust you  It might be Essex, but it's not that Essex ;)

Cheers for the comments chaps :)

Tim - Yes, it's going to a guy in Romsey. His mate owns a LCR too actually. SC.net badges are on the back so hopefully he will sign up, he seems a good guy and I know he's looking forward to getting the keys :D

Really sad to see you go RobM. Everyone has always appreciated your posts and you will be sorely missed by all no doubt.

Try and stay part of the family and you never know you might even get another one some day :)

Morette conversion then - seriously I know it's just a car etc ..... but are you going to be able to cope? Are we going to see you back here in 2 months time with another LCR or might we turn you to the derv side:cartman:

Stranger things have happened ;)

The plan is to get settled and get into the swing of things, financially at least, and see if I can get the money together to buy another fancy car. If I can, the LCR is at the top of that list :D

Fair play to you - i bought mine when i sold the house and went back to renting. Morgages aren't for me tbh, too much overpriced tat and with rates the way they are, it's all prime to burst soon enough.

I can't buy anything as nice as what i'm renting for twice what i'm paying in rent so i'll stay renting for a good while :)

I agree with BCM Rob, don't be a stranger.

Every historic thread I have read seems to have a post or 2 from you and always very helpful.

Good luck with everything mate...
