Guys, whats this pipe?

Located behind my engine block to the left of my DP? Its got a tear in it (circled), no idea how long its been like that? What does it do? Is it easy to replace?

Steering rack / universal join boot... wouldnt worry about it but I'd look to see why its split. It's just a cover.

Well thats the thing, it doesn't look as if anything has been catching it and torn it. So i'm just wondering if it could be down to general wear and tear.

So i don't need to worry about replacing it?

tape it up with some tank tape otherwise you could be getting some nasty fumes entering the cabin from yuor car and cars infront of you


could be the uj bolt that has done that check they are tight

is it hard to get to then? i thought there would be quite a bit of room in a 1.4 ibiza engine bay!
