Hi Guys,
I’m finally getting round to routing the CarPlay cable into the glove box properly on my 2016 (PFL) FR Tech. Previously, I had it go down the side of the centre console, under the trim and up round the back of the glove box. I’ve decided now to take it a step further and put it down into the centre console cubby, before following the same route. See the pics for a better idea.
Anyway, my question is this - what is down there that I should be careful of, with regards to cable routing? Underneath the cubby hole I mean! I know there’s heater matrix stuff, but as far as I can see, I’m clear of any gear linkage stuff (manual) and all there is is some space and the pipe for the rear air vents. See the circled pic for the area I’m concerned about.
It’s a decent quality braided cable, and I will be doing my best to attach it to a part of the loom on its 12 inch journey to the glove box. Thank you!!
