I suspect he's talking about the same one I was discusing with m0rk the other day. Raceland make a 2.0 16v 4 branch for the Mk3 Golf ABF. But the opinion was it wasn't going to go in without knocking on the chassis and that was after taking a big hammer to the car.

Raceland one will be more than likely for LHD Topgear/TSR one wont fit without it hitting the bulkhead - will need VT competition engine mounts to stop it shaking to bits - plus its a pile of poo anyway.

Seriously biting the bullet and having an equal length 4-2-1 specially built for mine for ~£600

mk2 golf gti 16v 4-to-1 is available from Miltec and awesome gti - and they fit 1.8 16V's (adl's). I know this as I have one on my 2L short block. Dont know how well it would fit to rest of std system though as I had my system made to fit it.

Stu - 4-2-1- wont work properly with your car - 4-1 is the way to go. Who's making it for you ? (there are very good and VERY bad examples out there.....)

I'm considering a firm called Haywood & Scott in Essex. or a place up your neck of the woods which the name totaly escapes me.

4-1, 4-2-1, 2-4-1, somthing thats better design and equal length, the one thats on there is regarded as a flaw.

tube torque = mark gosling = good when he's sober......

jp exhausts are the other outfit - 'manifolds' rick is the man to deal with - they made my system, nice job, top outfit, 50ft from where I used to live

for manifolds though, mike the pipe, tony law or simpson race exhausts (simpson are in london, perhaps the best in the buisness, probably 800 notes)

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I've found a raceland for ABF and I take it although the bloke says it's for a RHD Golf it won't fit??

Is there anywhere to buy these yet?? rumor had it that TSR were developing one??

What sort of gains would I expect, seen people quote 10-12BHP??

I actually emailed that Rick at Jp exhaust this week and he said i'd be looking at £500 +
