arrr, the aftermarket manifold. i have spent many a afternoon using the search feature on this site trying to find one that will fit.

I actually emailed that Rick at Jp exhaust this week and he said i'd be looking at £500 +

Your joking? £600..... thats alot of money I got one for my mk2 golf for £160 from raceland, it did the job properly with no knocking

Since it never got an answer and we are a few mnths down the line does anyone do a 4-1 manifold for the mk2 8v cupra sport? I was considering buying a whole head from a mk2 golf gti but not sure this would fit either as it has been P&P and cammed, and would come with the 4-1 manifold... Any Ideas????

for manifolds though, mike the pipe, tony law or simpson race exhausts (simpson are in london, perhaps the best in the buisness, probably 800 notes)[/QUOTE]
Got to add AAS (newcastle) into this field "Fantastic work" only thing is there always booked up for 2 months!!!

these are all very serious race exhaust folk - a waste of time unless your engine is already significantly breathed on IMO

Agree..Can only speak for AAS myself but at a cost they WILL get the most out of what you have...
But then for run of the mill stuff just as good to get off the shelf parts.
Example..I was booked in at AAS to have a downpipe made for my MK5..2 months waiting list..
In the end I picked a new one up from flebay for 30 quid less and within 2 days..
On the oher hand they made my brother some fantastis manifolds for a V8 cobra that you can,t buy.

And look what they are doing to Nick's car!!

they are a top outfit, but like most top outfits, charge big money, and unless you already have a very good engine, it will be a waste, better to spend £500-1000 on a really good cylinder head for eg

buy one for a mk3 8v Gti mate, it'll fit, or a mk2 Golf Gti 8v, they're all the same head and fitment

what about the fitment to the rest of the stainless system i already have a decat and full stainless system will they line up at the flange point??

So to clarify if i buy a mk2 golf gti 8v manifold it will fit without chaffing the chassis or causing other fouling issues and will line up to meet the existing stainless decat system?? Sorry but reading through many posts suggests otherwise but as is likely i may be wrong:whistle:
