also how much extra does it normally cost to get the body kit?

the fr looks amazing with out the kit, but jaw dropping with it! so would love it with one but think it might be a bit expensive

Don't stick the body kit on the Fr, it already has nice subtle changes on the front and rear bumpers.

I paid £16,200 for mine, which included;
Mats
18" Wheels
Black magic paint
Bluetooth

pluse another £100 for mudflaps (a must!)

The cars went up in price quite recently so id expect to pay more than that.
I got mine with
18" wheels
Bluetooth
Crono yellow for £16500

Before I ordered mine I went to the dealer and the lowest they would offer for the standard car was £16200

Like I said on a previous post if your having to finance the vehicle then its not always the cheapest car that ends up being the best deal, you need a low finance deal too.
I used carsandfinance.co.uk they have a good finance package available. You can even get a quote direct from the website by putting in you spec.

I paid £14250 for a 6 month old standard chrono yellow. Spoke to Lister SEAT afterwards (who had my details) and he told me he could have done a new one for that. Reckon he's talking out of his arse but maybe worth a go?

It all depends when the car was ordered. I spoke to a few places early July and they told me to ring back a week later cause it was period end and the prices/offers were getting reviewed. I remember one company putting their price up around £1k. On saturday when I went in for the 24hr test drive Ted Johnson garage in Barnsley was advertising the TDI FR for £18,800 in the show room.

did you just sourse the finance through them or the actual car?

decided on spec now

2.0tdi fr

18" alloys
aluminuim trim
bluetooth (but which one?) and will it work with a samsung d900?
mats

anything else people think is a must have?

thanks

Got the car and finance through them. They are basically a broker for dealers who get discounts for getting custom for the dealers. (Basically dealers pay them a finders fee)
Give them a call on the free phone number on the website. I spoke to a guy called John when ordering mine and he is sound. Doesnt pressure you into anything and leaves you to look into it.
Tell him your spec and see what price he will do it for. Once he has told you get him to give you some discount on the options cause some companies offer discounts on these as well as the cars.
For the car you have spec'd without the trim and mats your looking at £17,129 less any discount for the options so hopefully £17050.
The 5 year finance on £17129 from them, without a deposit would be approx £334

The bluetooth is approx £250 and there is only 1 you can get for the FR

there is only one bluetooth, its the factory fit one. everyone raves on about it here, and i'll find out on saturday if its worth all the hype ;)

there is a bluetooth thread as a sticky and i believe it works very well with samsung phones

the alu trim and mats you can get from the parts shop of any dealer so you dont have to factor that into your order if u didnt want too. and can usually get about 10% accessories from a if u ask nicely (if not call another one, one of them will give you a discount)

Did you ask for a px price on the focus?
Remember there is quite a long lead time for these cars at the minute so dont get selling the car too early.

I agree with Nobba, From what I've seen on here and been told from my dealer, your looking at 12 - 16 weeks for a build to order, possibly longer if you wanted a Cupra. The dealers told me at the end of May sourcing an FR isn't a much of an issue though if you are flexible on colour and options.

Make sure if you do go for a build to order and go down the part ex route they give you a guaranteed price for when the car is delivered, not give you what it's worth when you pick up the FR.

Ye. I asked what they would give for mine in September based on it doing x miles by then. Least that way they wont try and sting you.

I placed an order for a red FR TDI last week with The Deal Negotiator.

Got Emocion Red, 18" Alloys, Winter Pack, Convenience Pack, Xenons, Bluetooth, USB, Rear Parking Sensors (dealer fit option) and mats for 18,085.

Don't know how much the Aluminium Trim pack is but if you take off 870 for Xenons, 300 for the rear parking sensors, 195 for Convenience pack, 275 for Winter Pack, 90 for USB and add 350 for metallic paint that would be around 16,705.

If the 17,184 included the Alu trim and the Alu Trim costs 500 then I reckon you got a decent price.

Have you tried the Deal Negotiator? www.thedealnegotiator.co.uk

Like I said before this company isnt the chaepest for the car but the finance deal was the best I found. The price I had from the deal negotiator was slightly cheaper, and in your case would have been a few bit cheaper due to the options (you have an awesome spec btw), but the amount of finance I would have paid by using them was far more than the other company, if you know what I mean.

One tip regarding finance... If you can go for a bank loan rather than car finance.

They are more difficult to get approval for but have the following advantages:

1. You legally own the vehicle meaning you can sell it without settling the finance. Usual if you want to sell the car privately in the future.

2. The APR is often cheaper.

3. Most don't have a fee to take out the loan and another to pay it off.

I was lucky enough to be able to pay the price to change in cash on my Cupra but the last 2 cars I saved a fortune this way. The dealers couldn't macth bank finance. Same when my girlfriend bought her car too.

Ye id always go for a bank loan first and use the car company as last resort.
Me and the missus have recently moved into a brand new house and havent got any visa cards etc so this effects your credit rating. Its pathetic that both of us are on good salaries and I even get a car allowance at work to pay for my car yet I still dont have a particularly good rating. Hence going for the finance of 6.5% through the car company.:censored:
