Hi guys does anyone know how to attach a maxton design rear difuser to a 2016 pre facelift leon fr. Maxton dont supply a instal kit and said it just sticks over the area . A bit more help might be needed please. Do I just stick it down with 3m tape and a couple of baypole screws ? .Or remove the bumper and use bolts.

What type of diffuser are u attaching? I’ve got a 2016 pre facelift Leon - not fr - but I’ve fitted a maxton diffuser on mine which took self tapping screws

Its the maxton SE_LE_3_FR_RS1G. Street plus collection. On the their youtube video it shows them sticking one on with 3m tape. But when i spoke to customer service it comes bare no tape , no glue, no screws. That way i guess they have no responseability when it falls off. I would have used 3m tape all around and a few 30mm baypole self drilling screws on it . I dont fancy taking off the bumper for it.

Thanks

Ah okay, I checked it out and it’s a little different from mine. As my Leon doesn’t have the exhaust pipes at the back my diffuser is different, for urs id just recommended taking it to a maxton approved garage to get it fitted. No need to remove the whole bumper if ur trying to do it at home, just use the 3m tape and heat it up with a hairdryer before actually sticking it down, makes it a lot stickier and it will not move at all. No need for self drilling screws if u do it that way. I’ve attached a picture of the diffuser I fitted to my car u can see it’s a little different from urs
