i'm in the middle of doing mine right now, have degreased, taken flakes off and rubbed down, first coat of laquer is on and thats nearly one calliper done, just another 3 or 4 coats, all in about an hours work per calliper. absolutely brilliant guide. my brembo's were horrendous but now they shall go to the ball. :;):

i've refurbed my brembo's and yes i am a dummy, so anybody could do this, christ even the wife thought it was smart. i even laquered the rears, they dont come up quite as nice as the fronts but still a massive improvement on the usual pink, will put up before and after pics. i've washed and dried the beast and am also going to take some pics of that now, i'm putting golf r32 alloys on on saturday and thought i should not have stinky pinky brembo's putting me to shame. well done that man for the guide, :worship:

i've not taken any of the rears and she's all cosy in her garage now, as i say the backs aren't as impressive as the fronts . i had redone them in hamerite red but didn't laquer them at the time, but if you really want i can put a pic on tomorrow.

will check in my shed, wait a minute....................................................................................................................right thats me back, all it says on the tin is hammerite smooth red. then above that it has . p.c. 6722101. dont know if that means product code. but its not an absolute perfect match if your a bit anal, although near as dammit, and certainly far better than pink. not very expensive, for a 250 ml tin. i just put it on with a fine small brush, really easy and a lot brighter now that its been laquered. hope this helps. you'll probably get it in halfords or b & q.

aye, i just watched what i was doing, then when it came to laquering i did the same as i did for the fronts. instead of using sixteen rolls of masking tape, i cut out a bit of cardboard to roughly the size and shape of the brake disk, its perfect if you just leave one side squared off and it sits neatly alongside the calliper and masked up any bits that were still showing, i used the same piece of cardboard for all four callipers. easy peasy mate.

sorry to drag a thread out of the past but was just wondering how your brembos are looking now after having been laquered for a while
