Anyone else notice that their mirrors are heated while driving.

Haven't checked in the dry, but certainly yesterday in the rain with my lights and wipers on that the mirrors that were wet are now dry, wound the window down, touched them and could feel that they were warm.

So - either my mirrors are permanently heated or are heated when the wipers and / or lights are on.

Haven't noticed, will check. Is your control knob set to the front centre position? That looks like heated position to me, but on other cars that's been the "don't bugger around with my mirrors position" in case you knock it by accident, and mess up your mirrors.

I tend to leave mine in a left/right position. I could be wrong - haven't read the manual on mirrors.

They are heated when the knob is in the centre if it has a 'heater' element little image there (IIRC).

On SEATs they don't work with the rear screen, like they did on my previous car (307).

Not that I have them on my Ibiza, but that's what it says in the manual ;).

What would be really good is if you could program the mirrors to dip down when you're in reverse to help with parking (and kerbing). Can't be that difficult to do?

Is there not a chance of damage resulting from them being on all the time though???

I had thought they may work when the Heated Rear Screen is used, but obviously this isn't the case.
