can you remap a standard mk2 2.0 16v cupra Sport? or do you need a remappable ECU like a megasquirt system?

brakes work well from standard but a good set of uprated discs and pads all round (front and rear) does make a good difference.
Recently found out padgid no longer do the fast road pads anymore but zimmerman still do the discs.
So we're giving mintex race spec a go. See how we get on.
I can vouch for the getting the chassis sorted and loosing excess weight route. Those that saw me at Combe in April will know what I mean...TB is the best route to go for a 2.0 16v, but thats alot of money as well
having a well sorted valver i.e. brakes and suspension far outweighs power
as they say, power is nothing without control.
Personally if i had the money I would get a nice set of brakes, strip out the interior and purchase a light set of bucket seats. then IMO it would certainly fly

I thought the padgid pads i got wernt amazing! they obviously wernt the FR version.
And i think my Zimmermann drilled discs are warped. Not too badly, but the steering wheel shakes a little under heavy braking. Could have had something to do with having them Cherry red within the first 300 miles?
I want S2 twinpot brakes now anyway.

HAHA.
By "tb" he didnt mean "to be honest" (easy enough to confuse) he was referring to Throttle Bodies
