Tom theres no way in hell will your wheels fit over those brakes. You had to use spacers for your standard brakes!

Whats the damage for the oil?

Alright lads, Carls mate Andrew here. I've just picked up these from the refurbers for my golf:

http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/thread/902961.aspx

Can any of you recommend somewhere to get my tyres fitted that won't damage my wheels. I've got the tyres already, they just need fitting.

loving the look of them fella, exactly the wheels i was thinking of going for, motorsport wheels in fishponds bristol would do an ace job of fitting them, they supplied me with hundreds of sets of wheels over the years when i was at halfords and didnt damage one set, awesome bunch of boys too!

Fancy bolting um up to my golf to see what they look like once you've got the tyres fitted? or at least meet up somewhere so i can check them out on urs?

Wow, who done the refurbs and where you from?

I live in Caldicot, same as Carl. Steve (Alloy Polishing Services) from Swansea did the refurb.

Yeah me and carl could arrange a road trip and meet up David once they are fitted. Will that place in Bristol fit tyres that you supply yourself?

I knew it was good old steve who done the work, can tell by the quality.

If you want to travel, Gripz in Tonypandy will fit your tyres no probs. Its where i get mine fitted, decent prices and they'll look after your wheels.

he managed to get his tyres fitted locally in the end,i went round last night to see em after he picked em up and they look pretty nice, steve did a fair job on the refurb.

cant see him removing em to fit to your golf dave haha, but we'll both come next time theres a meet, though he's not planning to fit the wheels on the car until inters, but im expecting a pic of a trial fit on the rear tomo ;)

As i'm a little confused, as these are 5 stud, yet there's so much talk over why the LCR Brembo's wont fit because they are 5 stud,

Yet the TT / A3 / Skoda ones are 5stud, yet all they require (IIRC) is the disks to be redrilled.

Can anyone explain why the Brembo calipers cant be used, but other LCR calipers can?

Its annoying me now, i cant understand why!
