Free! Got it off my Missus Parents, so i suppose I should give their cars abit of a clean at sometime.
Plus they let me use their garage to sort out the coilovers the other night.

Phil, How much was the full setup of brakes, if you dont mind me asking, PM or text if you dont wanna post publicly.

Brakes were 260 for calipers which had been refurbed with new seals and repainted etc..., brackets, bells and all bolts, springs washers etc..

Discs were 126 delivered

Hoses were 31 delivred.

I might get new pads as well tho for 95 delivered, they dont need them but they are worn and its always nice starting with all new stuff.


Brand new theyre 565 plus VAT and delivery and without pads and hoses.


So not a bad saving altogether.

Won a competition on Galaxy / Vibe, and got a collection of CD's, but I kept swearing when i got questions wrong, the funniest bit being:

DJ: Question, Who is the Famous Father of Jade Jagger?

Me (getting in their quickly then forgetting the answer) Its err, umm Mr Jagger!

DJ: Laughing, err nope its Mick Jagger.

Me: in background, "Oh Bollocks" then i realise i swore on air, so said out loud, "Oh ****! err Sorry!"

Who knows about the 312mm brakes? Is it the 225 TT Calipers to look for?
As i'm a little confused, as these are 5 stud, yet there's so much talk over why the LCR Brembo's wont fit because they are 5 stud,

Yet the TT / A3 / Skoda ones are 5stud, yet all they require (IIRC) is the disks to be redrilled.

Tom, you want 312mm anniversary/vrs/TT calipers, 4-6mm machine off the carrier and an extra hole drilled to take 4 stud. Simple.


Who sells bonnet lifters? One of mine has died. Gutted.

Cheers for the info Phil, just been reading the old thread about them, seems a litle confusion over what hoses to use.

I wonder where you'd stand oif you bought those brakes and said i'll collect them.

Going to hold off the PC for a while.

Looks like a new product is going to be shelved over here June/July time reading detailingworld.

Ultimate detailing machine - 230v no need for transformer. 1krpm - 6krpm
Pricing ~£150 for full kit with pads etc.

Yeah i saw that, but they've been putting it back for so long, I thought feck it.

Plus i got the whole setup cheaper that that anyway.

Looks to be a good bit of kit though.

But with the $ / £ rating your still loosing out.

looks like a PC with different colour plastics and a UK plug pre fitted, no difference in performance i'd bet, some people will argue you'll need the warranty but i havent heard of a PC going down yet

I have heard of problematic PC's, not many though, and tbh Autopia replace them, without having to return the faulty one.
One guy had a replacment one sent out, even though his transformer was at fault. So free PC.

Easier than buying the transformer i agree, but looks less cool!!

I have no warranty problems, as i got a plug to plug the american plug into.
