its so nice! with what i guess to be around 340+bhp now in first gear i can floor it in the dry and it grips! that is with goodyear F1 tyres.

round corners can be powered!

sweet! worth it then!?

ive been quoted to fit the diff, rebuild box, replace some seals and bearings (not sure what ones but he seemed to know) and change from rivets to bolts (common problem) £400

that sound good or bad?

got the box off yesterday! clutch has seen better days! was all the colours of the rainbow lol!

alot of wear where the thrust bearing rubs aswell (on the lever/spike/arm bits)

should be getting my engine mounts 2m

400 sounds about right i think for rebuild and fitting the clutch.

just wondering how much room you have at the back of the block for the turbo from the brake lines?

im fitting clutch and delivering the box...they will have a standard box, rebuild it, fit diff, change rivits to bolts and i collect and fit clutch and box to engine, is that expensive then!?!?

as for room...have you ever seen how thick a rizla paper is?...about that much room lol

ok, are you sure that the exhaust housing will be to near the pipes and cause them to boil?

i havnt got the invoice on me so i cant tell you, but i didnt do any of the work as i dont have another car and i dont have a garage like you.

i did my turbo kit and intercooler myself and to be honist i dont think ill do it again, i get stressed to much and loose my temper.

if i had another car and a garage i can keep it in instead of my drive which both my mum and dad need then it would be great.

do you know what power you have?

your mate in the us takes the biscuit...i ordered loads of bits from him when you gave me contact details and they were sent yesterday!!!

diffs were aparently out of stock!?

Apparently the 'new' plastic impellor water pump is made from a different plastic so won't have the same problems as the old ones. However they recommend a change every 60k. I didnt want to risk it so sourced a metal one!

as pj1985 says...they are a new updated water pump, has been designed with the known problem of them breaking in mind!

im my mind a updated/improved genuine one is better than a pattern one!

its a weird plastic (feels and sounds like metal)

lol - good luck!

Metal Impellor on mine.
Oct 2005 - 8000rpm race motor..... would use mine over any plastic rubbish any day of the week, let alone on the promise as lame as they've told you.

The advisory change every 60k was what got me. If its as good/better than the metal one which is what they were trying to tell me then why would that be needed especially when the cambelt is only inspect every 60-70k and to change water pump the cambelt has to come off.

bill i wasnt saying that there was a problem with the metal ones just that i was opting for the new plastic one! engine will be out again in about 8months so if need be i can change it then! (not that you need the engine out)

as you well know tts roadsport, i got the parts from you! and yes...VERY competitive prices, thanks again

screwfix do some spray on stuff which finishes off the job nicely. spray it on, wait a few minutes and it comes off lice and clean.... but do it in a well ventillated area it makes you high as a kite
