So build week is 19, so there must be a load from here that will be around the same time and then shipped altogether?

I hope so, for all our sakes. Mine is supposed to be week 17 build but then I was misinformed before that it was a week 13 build.

It will start to sink in I am finally getting the car once the dealer has told me for a fact the car is being sent from the shipping yard because what that have told me before has been a load of bo:censored: cks

Good for you, week 19 not too far away :D

Mine is the Cupra, so with low volumes I thought it would be useful for people to know when it is likely theirs will be built and shipped

Mine was supposedly built week17 and is awaiting shipping.
Saw the post you put up about the dealer taking 2.5 weeks to tell you it was built :-(

Does anyone know what the building schedule / rota is so that people can figure out how long it takes for the cars to come over? Or do people think that when a number of cars are out in the lot, they ship them all in one shot?

I ordered my FR TDI with some options through my company on the 26th April. On the form I specified that I wanted it to be delivered to me on 31st July, which is when my current car contract ends. I figured that would give them the usual 12 weeks.

I received a letter on Tuesday this week, notifying me that the estimated delivery date is Friday 1st June.

This is dreadful! They've managed to get a 6 week build period, and I've had to phone to ask them to see if the dealer can take LONGER as I can't have it until the end of July. How frustrating!

i'm pretty sure that the main factor that affects order length is your choice of colour. it is massive job to change colours in a production line spray booth, and as such they batch spray in as large a quantity as possible. once the car is sprayed is 'simply' travels down the track having the other bits and bobs and options screwed on. once its built and leaves the factory it is parked up in a big field collecting spanish dust until there is a shipfull ready to load. i just hope mine isnt the first in the field!!

That sounds reasonable. Shame we cannot get run months for colours from a source so we can place orders to reduce the delivery time ::shrug:

how long it takes to fill the slow boat to blighty seems to be anyones guess. i'm hoping early july which would be around 4 weeks after build and 10 weeks in total.

Mine was built in week 17 and just missed the last boat. It just sitting at the dock now waiting to go on the next boat which I assume must be any week so, which means my delivery date has been pushed back by a week or 2 I am told by the dealer F:censored: K

Rang the dealer and got told that the build week was week 18 and not 19 as originally advised. Still have to wait until Weds for some reason to receive the full information as to where the car is. Thought people might want to check their information is still correct of if it has been moved ahead a week or 2.

My dealer told me today that my car is now half way across the Ocean.

I hope so.

But I won't be getting too excited just yet, just incase it's another little fib.

Rang the dealer last Firday and he said the build week has now been moved to build week 20 which he claims is this week.

Anyone able to verify the build weeks and provide the source so there is no discrepancies?

My dealer told me they have a calendar which details this so mayb Jennings or some other dealer can confirm this?

I thought build week 20 was last week.
