Telford ay it...
When turning I have a loud knocking coming from the drivers side wheel. Can only hear it at low speeds, for example when im pulling out slowly from a junction. It does it in relation to turning the steering wheel. Cant feel it in the steering or anything.

Any ideas??

Oh and i have raised the suspension to see if that would help, it was a very sad day

driveshaft or loose wheel bolts are my guess, or a wheel bearing

No mate all is fine in that department, i could have gone lower in that respects. Only thing mine catches is the inner wing when on full lock. Ohh and that bit that sticks out........but theres a hole worn into it now

haha... i melted mine with a blow torch today and pushed it into the car a bit more, and now its stopped rubbing on it :D it does rub on the outter arch a little when turning as i say 3/4 or more... which can only be stopped by raising it.... not much chance of that happening soon tho :D

Ill upload pics of it in a mo :D

depends on how bad it is.it sounds to me like its just a bit worn and starting to go.if the knocking is at a sow speed and not that loud.but it could get worse and then will get louder and then u could get play in it.

Do u tend to spin the fronts allot or no?

Hardly ever spin it up.

Bugger, just realised i worded my initial post wrong. The noise is in relation to turning the steering wheel, not the road wheel  Say i turn right the knocking is in relation to turning the steering wheel. The faster i turn the faster it knocks.

Sorry guys, and cheers for your help so far ;)

Cheers mate ;)

Started to think why would it be the driveshaft

Hopefully not steering rack, thats been in that back of my mind. Does sound like its coming from in the wheel arch though.

as long as its thickish so it stays there if u know wat i mean.cv jont grees is normally enclosed by the cv boot so doesnt get wet as such.give it a try and see wat happens.
