Iv'e ordered a BMC panel filter. Also i have had a rummage in the garage at home and came across and old vaccum cleaner. So im going to drill a hole into the airbox and add the vacuum cleaner hose as an extra air intake;) It should help to breathe a little better.

I've thought about doing that before as well :D

You can probably route it to the front somehow to gain maximum ramair effect...

I doubt it will make any difference on the TDi appart from making the turbo whistle louder
Hardly any performance gained when ugraded to green panel + PD 160 intake:(

Wasn't it driveforward who originally did the TSP (twin sh*t pipe) intake mod? ;)

Be careful that you don't suck in small animals and children ... you might get MAF problems :D

With my car it will make a difference as i'm running 1.85bar boost. If i increase from that it starts to create a vacuum within the airbox and how i know is my MAF reading drops giving symptoms of a failing MAF so obviously the air can't keep up. To an ordinary chipped car it probably wont make any difference.

TBH i'll probably keep it at 1.85bar but i would say if i do this mod and increase the airflow my turbo wont have to work as hard to get the boost and i might be able to increase the fuelling without the expense of more smoke and maybe gain a few BHP.

Heh Micky you know we were talking about this part that you can get from the stealers for your airbox, and SEAT dont list it; well, while i was changing over my waste pipes in my bathroom today i had an idea:whistle: I could use a 32mm right angle joint and attach it to my lover airbox, then like you said screw some hoover hose into that - would look quite OEM if i was to use all black products:D

I'm now leaving my stock airbox and green panel filter in. :) Was going to go down the BMC route, but Allard assures me the turbo gets plenty of air through the stock system - and I have the Cupra intake as well. I like the idea of adding another pipe into the system, but I imagine ultimately the bore of the pipe from airbox to turbo is what dictates the airflow - not the intake pipe (or 2 ;)) itself

True indeed, but what I think micky is on here is the place where the airbox is fed cannot provide enough air anyway,,, maybe a front feed could do better,,, I guee it's a combination of the two: air feed and pipe bore,,,
