1st check the engine code if you can find it (top of the timing belt cover) tomake sure it isnt a 1.0 swapped in there
2nd if you can - get the ignition system and timing checked - if its out you can lose a hell of a lot of pull
3rd while ya there check for loose/split air pipes again results as above and easily missed or leant on
4th as its had a service - make sure the plug leads are on right dont worry we all do it at least once

I'll check the engine code tomorrow and write it down. Would any of you be able to identify the engine from the code?
Will they check the ignition system and timing in a general retune?
Would they check this in a retune too? (loose/split air pipes)
Shall get my Dad to have a look at the plugs!
Thanks for the help everyone! Shall be ordering a k&n induction kit on thursday (payday) and get it booked in at the garage for a retune.
I've heard about engine additives.. Are they worth looking into or are they just a type of placebo?
