Gotta get 2 new tyres for me car and can get the Proxies for £110 (Black Circles) for both fitted, or £150 (Local Dealer) for F1's fitted?

I know there have been lots of discussions, but what would you lot go for?

FYI - I've currently got F1's and I'm running Custom Code.

literally 20mins ago i ordered 4x T1s from black circles

240quid fitted using their local approved fitters as i know the guys anyway

out of what u offer the F1s offer better grip but imo the T1r is better value for money

I was going to get 4 x GSD3 F1's for about £254 plus fitting but managed to get 4 x Avon ZV1's brand new for £150 plus fitting off an auction website.
Thought I 'd give them a go for that price even though they are the old model.

I would recomend the F1's...

I had them on my Ibiza mk4 in 205/45 r16 and they gripped great! They were especially good on wet surfaces (compared to other tyres).

Now I'm running on T1R's in 205/40 r17, and they are as good as the f1's when it's dry, but when it's wet, they suck!

Also another interesting thing is that i did double the mileage with the f1's and were in better condition then the t1r's are now! So I think that GY is definattly worth the extra cash!

i bought my eagle F1's from pro-tyre for £70 each fitted (only bought 2) I found that blackcircles or mytyres plus fitting from a garage pretty much matched the price i got

the XL is extra load, I havent found many places that actually sell the normal one its very rare

well i have the t1r's on my car and i think they're very good. i had the option of the toyos or dunlops when i bought my new wheels and i was told that the toyos would be better in the wet so i thought it would be wise to go for them.

id say go for the toyo's as they are generally better value......and ive had them before so i know they perform well. The tyres ive got on mine at the mo are coopers, apparantly they are the only tyre company in the uk that offer a lifetime warranty? even with accidental damage they will refund the difference against a new tyre based on tread that is left on your old tyre. cool huh? and these perform well also.

I had toyo's on my golf. The fronts didn't last long at all so I was persuaded to get the kuhmo tyre that was just introduced at the time...think it was the ku31...and it was on par if not a little better than the toyo's.

Don't even get me started on the toyo's in the wet! Might as well wrap elastic bands round your wheel IMO! Almost had a few accidents because of them during normal everyday driving!

word of thought... tyres will only perform as well as they are used.

drive like a twat and no tyre will last long and there is not one tyre that will save you in the wet

i got 8k out of my T1Rs, rotated them after 5k. not had a better all rounder in my 5 years of car ownership

Yeah but I was doing normal everyday driving commuting mostly in heavy traffic and I got maybe 6k out of the fronts. The rears did last about 8k but they were so bad in the wet.

Going round a 60 degree bend at 20mph after it had stopped drizzling and the back end stepping out and nearly dragging you sideways is not what I call a tire that is an all rounder! They were pretty good in the dry but I would not get them again considering we live in a country that has more than it's fair share of wet weather!

I would rather spend the extra £ or get the kuhmo's I previously had.

xl = extra load. go for them if running low profile.

im not sure what size tyres you need, but the comparison in price isnt exactly fair. one being online and one not.
go to black cirlces or mytyres and get rpice for both.
then and only then can you make a fair judgement.

i think you will find there isnt much in the price, so id day GSD3s all day long.

The prices I gave were the best I could find either online or at local dealers. So it's fair in that I listed the cheapest I could find either of them be it online or local and that includes a £10 voucher I've got for Blackcircles.

In the end, I ended up ordering F1's, as I found a local dealer that would do them for £66 each, making it £132 for both fully fitted, which is a bargain if you ask me.

f1's :D nice chris.
Running Pirella P-zero nero on mine allround, not bad either.
Let me know how u get on with them.
Wet/dry weather and wear, as these are pretty good with wear and wet/day.
