I was bored last night so I did a few vids. Also the car is revod. Sorry about the quality and the music. Do they seem about right for a fr tdi revod to around 190?

2/3rds of the power for 1/4 of the fuel costs is a hard equation for me to argue with - the only problem the us smoggies will face is when we DO change cars, we've got no choice but to go for another derv as there's nothing petrol powered with the same economy - hope derv development continues at the current rate!

ok let me put it in black and white for you.

Prior honda was getting around 150 to 180 miles to a tank - 50 quid

Leon is getting 350 to 550 a tank - 50 quid

Since you're a VTEC abuser i am assuming you get similar economy from yours?

In future i'll keep an excel spreadsheet with exact calculations so you can cross reference me.

But then I notice from your Sig that it's all about exact figures and those extra .002 of a second :)

On average, my LCR is getting about 28-30mpg (that's town and motorway driving). My CTR was getting about 2-3mpg more..
So going by your calculations, you're Cupra TDI gets 110-120mpg.. Bloody hell, i'm switching!!!
Either your Honda was a NSX Type R with massive injectors or you drove whatever it was at full throttle everywhere.. Because 150 miles to £50 is shocking mate!
(Sarcy git)
I'm not trying to be picky, but it just makes me laugh when some of the Soot chucker boys on here make out that they get about elentymillion mpg out of there motors.. Yeah, they're more economical, but no way near 4 times as much as petrol..

Well i'll hapily state that mine TDI does around the 500 mile mark per tank, and thats running around the 200bhp mark, but then its a run around brought to do what it does, if i wanted something really fast i get another escort cossie or M3 but for now i'm very happy chucking soot and keeping the MPG read out above 50!

I ragged that honda at full throttle everywhere i went which was why it eventually died on me. I reckon on average i'm about 60 to 70% better off in this than i was in that, given the performance of this compared to that .... i can't and won't moan.

Just so we're clear here, 3/4 of 4 is 3 times better NOT 4 times better.

I am not and will not dispute that the LCR is faster than a Tdi and i'm quite sure you can get reasonable mpg from anything, what you can't say in all honesty is that IF you use the performance in the LCR that your consumption is 28 to 30mpg.

Going from what I came from, i get at least double the economy and far more performance.

As for me being sarky, no worse than you ;)
