Nath - If passed experience is anything to go on, anything from 150bhp to 165bhp would be possible.

mmmmmmmm well if thats the case and I get CC and the outcome is only 190 bhp then I will have only got 25 bhp for my £350+vat
:(

350+vat is a good price :p

TBH, it depends on the RR you use, also a remap is alot more than just upping the top power, I like my remap as its made the car EASIER to drive, lots more torque, power increase of around 40bhp and 50lb/ft on mine. No flat spots or anything, its all good.

Thanks everyone,

Your ideas have been really helpful. I am going to concentrate on the engine first so am pricing up K&N induction kit but not putting on cold air pipe (waste of time apparently) and then investing money in a custom stainless steel full system with race-cat thing! I hate having no tailpipe it looks awful! How much to get colour coded bumpstrips?

change your signature its huge!!! you are going to need to buy new side srips so thats 4 new mouldings as they are stuck on and resticking them after removing imo looks terible if you spray them yourself your talking about 50+ approx with new mouldings!

Depending where you ask, around £70-£100 but the main payout is getting the colour, so if you want anymore bits spraying, id get them done at the same time. My FR TDi has got the door moudlings done, but also the FR foglight grills, and both front and rear valance's

Yes you can, id PM a few dealers on here for prices as you might get a 10% discount! Ya, im gunna get the MS Skirts (or similar) either mid-way 2007 or beginning of 2008.

Id also reccommend the FR/Cupra lights at the rear, they look the sex imo :D Oh and lower it about 50mm on the front and 60mm+ on the back! Ohh ya and tints and so on!

I wouldnt bother with a race-cat/de-cat, you will loose the low down grunt. I looked into it myself and decided it was a bad idea. Plus the exhaust probably wont do anything neither will the filter. Just make it sound nice if you like that kind of thing ;) If you want power you need real engine mods, headwork, cams, forced induction.

Im guessing all that stuff should be for your engine, check the supercharger out :)

Fair point,

That website is really useful some good stuff on there! Think I need to get saving though! Surely the filter and exhaust will make some difference? What's the point in them otherwise? I use the car everyday so i need a decent mpg. I know there will be some sacrifice with engine mods but want to find the right balance.
