id say remapped v remapped t spark! only just lol! but not sure if a 130bhp 2.0 8v will beat the fr tdi they are quick but getting the 8v to 130 will make it a good car they are slightly underpower for the weight of the mk4 so 130bhp will be a good figure

Phase 1 v Phase 1 would just be like std v std just abit quicker :p

Now, Phase 1 v Miltek, P2, FMIC and all the stuff on your car, and well we know the outcome... the petrol has to stop for fuel, so the diesel wins anyway :D

'Anyway' to quote a phrase :p

If the 2.0 8V would be running 130bhp it wouldnt be slow, would just need a shot of 50bhp NOS to keep it up with remapped diesels :p

Just take the car back, you have only had it for 24hrs havent you? iirc, cant you take it back upto a month after first purchased and ask for your money back?

Then go buy a TDI simple

No I really think this car has potential like said 2.0 8v at 130 bhp would be quite nippy. Spoke to a knowledgeable friend and he reckons k&n filter and stainless steel custom made exhaust should be close to that! What do you reckon green panel filter or k&n or? Any suggestions

if that was my car and i wanted it to look the bo11ocks and go like sh1t off a shovel then i would do this

ms design sideskirts
coulorcode rear bumper lower valance & maybe side strips
leon cupra R front spoiler (lip) £20
coilover suspension (lowering springs)

save your money and get a super/turbo charger slapped on there if your serious off course (other upgrades will be needed ie. injectors f.p.r fuel pump ect.)
Milltek cat back system
induction kit
remap (if you decided to get turbo/super charger)
then you will be laughing!

hang on you said when i was gonna get my lower rear valance colour coded it would be too much:ban: ...:)
the LCR splitter i decided against personally cos it suits the facelift beter than the original bumpers
and the coilover suspension i dunno anything about:confused:

You should be able to get 125-130bhp with a stage 1 re-map... or add a cold air induction kit and decent exhaust & high flow cat and go for stage 2 and 130-140bhp shouldn't be a problem :)

No, you're right.... it's a cross flow engine, but not miles away from the AGG block

throttle bodies, turbo kits, super chargers all available

however - remapping won't do FA for a n/a car - especially a bog stock one.

Thats fair enough, forgot the MK2's have the 2.0 litre 8v'er to! As stated book figure is 115PS but they always read higher once on RR's.

Nath - If passed experience is anything to go on, anything from 150bhp to 165bhp would be possible.
