Well just to say i just fitted a Vauxhall Frontera Intercooler to my car, So easy No chopping to the crash bar only had to modify the bumper where the honey comb grill is which you have to lose :( but will be puttin mesh in its place. All i done was drill one small whole in the crash bar to mount the intercooler and that was it!

Well Happy, Very central, Easily adjusted left or right.

Car boost so much better and pulls all the way to the redline hard! :funk:

No logs as i dont have vag com but i'd like to get some if any offers

Pics up soon.

Post 1 details what pipe work is needed.

Did you need to fit the LCR splitter to hide the bottom of the intercooler?

Pics as promised!

Still not finished, waiting on mesh to take bumper off again and finish doing the lower grills and might even move the cooler to the left slighty to get a abit more central but you can't tell until you look really close.

Glad i sprayed the cooler black looks much better and when the mesh is on wont even see it ;)
Will be painting brackets black to soon.

Very mate, The hoses hold it in place very tight.
The cooler cant move at all as it is sort of held by the bumper too so differently not going anywhere.

not a fan of the extra long silicone hose. also i think you should have considered removing the standard bottleneck that is the stock pancake hose where the map sensor resides

I know but works well at the mo, I'll look into removing it later but its mounting the map sensor somewhere suitable.

Just wanted to make sure it works first, with no extra lag and it does so im happy.

Smokki that looks really good, the black intercooler looks really sleeper especially on a black car.
Might be investing in a frontera I/C after the new year, in black of course!

I would be really interested to see the logs when they get done. Gazjones and I logged my car (remapped with standard side mount I/C) actual boost versus requested boost and due to the heatsoak the boost really tailed off above 5k. The ambient was 20 degees C and the inlet temp was as high as 63 deg C during the 4th gear run.
