Just checked my oil and noticed that the plastic collar part of the dipstick tube has snapped in half, so that when i take the dipstick out half the orange plastic collar comes with it.
Is this easy to change, on my old VTS the tube for the dipstick was held on with one bolt and otherwise it was an interference fit.
One more thing, the engine sounds quite tappy from the exhaust manifold area, is the gasket prone to failing? or worse still the manifold prone to cracking?
If it wasnt so cold outside I'd get the tools out and investigate.
