Feel i was talking about the exhaust manifold not the inlet.
I dint at first but when people started gettng back to me with real prices for other options this seem sthe best. Im going to do it in stages but didnt see the point of fitting the turbo then taking it off to fit a new manifold (atp and star say around 10bhp for the unit)

Well im not sure as the last time i spoke to them james had broken hos leg so was of so i would have thought work would be suffering?

Whatever. There are no "better" manifolds on a K04 S3 TT or LCR that we're aware of, so there are no figures that quote improvement.

Problem is, those in the know will tell you that the turbo (i.e. stock K04) is the restriction, so that and the fact there aren't any aftermarket ones available means that nobody has changed one out yet.

You could always get a tubular one made yourself?

I'm very keen to see figures from different setups :D

Just going from what they say i on there web sites, must have something to back up there claims?

The real trouble is no matter who you speak to everyone has different opinions. and to be honest the price of the atp one isnt to be sniffed at

Atp, neuspeed (its been in the book since last year), performance 3000 and jbs soon will all have manifolds out.

Scotty, Unfortunately mate these ones won't fit our Turbo's. These are for the K03 models. The one for our turbo's ain't ready Yet.:(
We need some kind of group buy on enlarged Maff housings and possibly some new induction kits because AFAIK the increased diameter on the maff housings will be too large for our current set ups. We could use reducers but that may negate the advantages of using an increased housing in the first place.:shrug:
I'd leave those green tops where they are or we'll need a new map for sure.
Out of curiosity what are you replacing your BF down pipe with and why.
Defo a GB on boost controllers needed.:whistle:

What about the apex unit?
Bugger! ive ordered a k04 via the net, will have to ring and see what they say as they may just back log it.
why do we need bigger mafs?

To keep the fuel air mixture true when we increase the FPR to 4 bar. There will still be some indifferences but the ecu should adapt to this or we could tweek it ourselves using Lemmiwinks or V Tune.


Surely going that way along with finding an IK to mate onto it (Without reducer) along with a boost controller and your better off just getting it properly mapped with the setup you have now! Get it mapped by say jabba and you wont have to buy any of this extra kit:shrug:

I say the less amount of new parts going onto our cars, the better hence the reason for this hybrid!

Jabba have already said they would map it for us, with 3 of us, we'd probably get a 10% discount on the £475 remap price;) I know ill be pushing for a discount on the £475 price as it will be my 2nd map with them:)

All im planning to do is

£900 turbo
£420 remap
£50 FPR

Total £1370

The cost of fitting will be the money i receive from selling current ko4 :)

There are guys on audi-sport.net running standard k04 manifold at 330bhp power levels on the eliminator kits. I have gone off the idea of an uprated 1 at the moment, trying to do this as cheap as i can:)

You won't need to changed your MAF to run this hybrid - the airflow won't max the readings on the 3" tube.

I have been running a 4 bar FPR for some time on stg 2, so maybe i dont need this exatr sensor?

Id much rather have her mapped up to get them mostfrom the turbo tho.

Mitchy can they do a good deal on fitting too?

Im not too sure mate, jabba are a pain in the arse for customer relations as they never phone you back when you enquire about something!

I will give them a bell just now and see what prices they quote:)

Hopefully they can change turbo and map all in same day! Ive always liked jabba as they offer rolling road time before and after to show the increase along with fine tuning it to extract the very best performance.

I have their boost controller aswell which is always handy:)

I do believe they have a newer set of a ''more accurate'' rolling road aswell so we should all get it done there for comparisons sakes!

edited.... Just phoned jabba, they normally keep the gaskets/bolts/washers so they would be able to supply them on fitting which is a bonus and saves us from having to source them!

Reference labour charges, he said he will phone me back (I've heard that 100 times from jabba before :rolleyes:)

They would need the 1st car the whole day aswell just for mapping and then the other 2 cars the usual 4 hr time slots.

Doubtful for mapping and fitting in 1 day but if they familiarise themselves with fitting it, should be quicker for the other 2 cars:)
