Its a kind of half way really, rubber like but with some hard plastic element to it which is there to give it strength and rigidity. It fits into the boot very tightly.
Its not really floppy like soft rubber, and its not rock hard brittle plastic.
Same consistency as the one i had in my Mk2 Leon before this one, and that was excellent.
Dead easy to keep clean, and nothing really flew about in the boot.
